Sun Pharmaceuticals, Inc Manager - Environment Health and Safety in India

  • To work for strengthening/monitoring of existing PTW System. Report any non-compliance and get it rectified at shop floor for ensuring compliance.

  • Gap analysis and Implementation of new Global EHS Standards, published by Corporate-EHS.

  • Continually work for improving the EHS culture at site through counselling/training.

  • Daily surveillance status follow up with Engineering and Manufacturing for immediate compliance for unsafe act/conditions etc.

  • Daily round of one module to enforce EHS culture by counselling operating personnel on unsafe Act and bridge the gap on unsafe conditions.

  • ERT team preparedness for mitigating any emergency situation of site.

  • Process Safety review and bridging the gaps progressively for each products/ equipment(s).

  • Coordinate with global EHS to strength process safety management.

  • Initiating actions on 3rd party audit compliance on Safety.

  • Ensuring Safety of contractor personnel at site and encourage to adhere to basic safety rules.

  • Follow up for CAPA closure and EHS observations.

  • Follow up for implementation of Global-EHS check-lists, pertaining to process & operational safety.

  • Imparting Safety training & helping in preparation of training materials.

  • Carryout HAZOP Studies and follow up for implementation of action points emerging from HAZOP Study for introducing any new products/intermediates/ process change.

  • Review the process risk and review the HAZOP study for any changes in existing processes.

  • Carryout Qualitative Risk assessment (QRA)/Infra Gap Analysis: Manufacturing Process /Chemicals as per the guidelines of Corporate-EHS.

  • Identification of High Risk & hazardous reactions of the site & preparation of EHS Risk Register.

  • Incident investigation, logging & compliance of CAPAs.

  • Jointly work for IMS documentations/audit preparation & carry out HIRA & EAI revision as per the requirements with harmonization of LEPs/OCPs/OHSPs with new global standard.

  • Clearance of CCRs on daily basis in Track wise.

  • Working on safety of API powder handling having low MIE values.

  • Preparation of IMS reports (Monthly reports & EHS culture meter).

  • Identify the operational safety, during handling of hazardous chemicals/reactions.

  • Selection of PPEs suggest to site management to procure the same.

  • Preparation of OCPs for handling of hazardous chemicals.

  • Maintain the all safety records in culture meter.

  • Ensure 7 man hours training to employees.
